Our 3rd race of 2021 was from Mangotsfield which is 137 miles to my loft in Salford. 866 federation birds were liberated at 11am into a west north west wind, after 2hrs 49 mins i got 3 birds together racing each other low and hard, they trapped quickly and on checking the clock they were timed in 14 seconds. The winner, 20-544 is a slaity hen that incidentally won the North West Grand national last year as a YB. Once again she is a grand daughter of “New Harry” The final result can be seen below.
